What the hell was that in Anson?   Author: 17  Category:(Ghosts) Created:(8/28/1999 10:29:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (5243 times) I am a reshman at mcMurry University in Abilene, Texas. Last night (9-15-98) my room mate and some of my friends told me that they had driven to Anson the night before and had seen the lights. They drescribed the events and said that about thirty to forty of them were out there watching the light come up, closer and closer then disappear. I didn't believe them so last night I had them take me out there to show me the light. It didn't take long after we flashed the lights (3 times) for the light to appear. It really freaked me out!! I'm telling you that the light I saw continued to get closer until someone made some noise. Then it would look as if it was going off into the woods on the side of the road. My friends told me the story that a long time ago a woman lived down on that road with her three sons. One night she told her sons to go down the road to the store. She told them that if hey got into any trouble or got lost, to flash their lights three times. And the legend has it that when you flash your headlights or what ever on that road, it is the woman's spirit coming down the road with a lantern to find her sons. Now the at the end of the story the three boys died, and that is why her spirit still (haunts) that old road. I always remember hearn=ing on some T.V. shows that animals can sense spiritual presence. Another weird thing that happened last night was that every time the light would show up down the road a horse no more than a half mile away would go crazy in] its stable. That's why I really believe that something was there. Three of my friends tryied to walk down the road last night to get close to the light. They said that while they were down there and the light showed up, they weren't very far away from it and could see a sillouette of a person behind it. I do have to admit though, that was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life and I really want to know waht that light is and where it goes. How it changed my life: It freaked me out!!!!!!!!
