It all started when my mother in law was at Bingo one night. Hubby and I were sitting on the couch watching tv (we lived with his mother). I forget what we were watching, but all of a sudden a picture of hubby's father falls off the wall. We were both surprised, and I said (not seriously as I didn't believe in it) '...a friend at work would say watch out... the only reason pictures fall off of walss like that of family members is when someone is going to die in 24 hours.' Mother in law came home that night, had a heart attack the next morning and died that afternoon. Since then, when all our kids are in bed and hubby is at work, if I take a bath, someone knocks on the bathroom door. Sometimes in the mornings, my alarm clock will be on a popular AM station that hubby's father used to listen to all the time, and the time on the alarm clock to wake up will be changed from 4 am to 6 am (this alarm clock has 3 buttons to push to change that time. Since none of my kids are that coordinated yet, I knows they didn't do it). We also had some trouble here with someone putting a terranchula in our mailbox one night. I forgot to lock the front door that night too. I wonder why (thankfully) that spider was not put into the house as it was meant to hurt someone (still was poinsonous). Then one night, I wanted tog et a book out of the car for a bath, and I went downstairs to the door. I couldn't open it, it was like someone was on the other side, keeping it closed. I could open it a bit, but not past the door-jam. My oldest boy (4) talks about Bumpa a lot too, and knows only things that people would know if he was still around (mainly his wife might know such things) like how much effort and pain it was while Bumpa was dying from cancer, to go to the washroom. My son even asked me why Bumpa was going to the bathroom so late at night. My son even has asked me to move over so Bumpa can lay down in bed with us. I really think it's 'Bumpa' (grampa) keeping us safe. We bought the house from the estate after mom-in-law passed away along with all furniture. Excpet for the fridge, washer/dryer, all things belonged to them before. I know he would have loved to see the children, and I greatly miss the chance that I missed out on of knowing him. Some people are freaked out when I tell stories like this, others, (mainly family) it brings tears to their eyes. Only my kids can see Bumpa, and he always tells them they are loved and are good kids. As long as he helps keep us safe and sound, and doesnt' scare anyone who comes to the house, my house will always be open for him to live here. How it changed my life:All my life I've been looking for Angels. If this is how they can effect life, with a sense of humour, love and safety, then Bumpa is a beautiful angel to have.
