I have two events. When I was about ten, I was at Big Bear with a little runner sled. I saw through the trees a gully with hills on either side. The gully was surrounded by trees about 2 or 300 feet away from the s ski area. I tramped through the trees and slid down the hill on one side of the gully onto an ice covered stream. I fell through the ice. Before I could yell, I was stunned, I looked up and saw a man in ski pants and boots, and a red and black shirt and 1950's type ski hat walking over to me. He wasn't running and just kept walking. He reached in, pulled me out and carried me to the first aid station. I was put in dry clothes and when people turned to thank him, he was gone. I could not have gotten out by myself, and no one could have seen me through the thicket of trees, but he did. He didn't say a word the entire time. Secondly, I did a backflop off the diving board in high school. It knocked the wind out of me. I was stunned.when I finally got my senses back, I was inches above the pool drain on the bottom of the pool. I swam for the top. as I got close to the top, I couldn't help but inhale. I thought I would drown because I would inhale water. But it felt like I was breathing. Then I popped up out of the water. The teacher and kids said I had been under over a full minute. I have never been able to hold my breath a full minute. I know an angel helped me. I love my guardian angel. I now have 8 angels of my own because I didn't get killed. My father at about 17 or 18 was in world war II on a ship in the south pacific. A Japanese airplane dived on the ship and flew over it with its bombay doors open and a bomb ready to drop. It came back around to make anther pass when the ships crew shot it down. If the bomb would have dropped, I would not be writing this. How it changed my life:I was able to have eight children because I lived. I just always believed in God. Now that I am older, and life is a bit scarier, I get great comfort from knowing that God and his angels were there.
