On January 22, 1995 I dreamt that I was standing in my grandmother's front yard. There was an older man standing a few yards away smiling at me. I asked him who he was and he told me he was my grandmother's father and that she was going to die soon so he had come to take her with him. When I woke up I wrote the dream down in my dream journal and phoned my sister to tell her. Although my grandmother seemed to be in good health we were both a little nervous, but when nothing happened over the next few months, we forgot about it. Then, almost one year later, on January 19, my mother called to tell me my grandmother had had a stroke. And three days later my grandmother died, on January 22, 1996, exactly one year after my dream. I like to think that her father was there to meet her when she passed over.
