When I was a child I had a ghostly experience. I went to a friend's house with my family for dinner. Later on in the evening , everyone went into the family room to listen to my Uncle play the piano. I became very bored with this and decided to walk around this old house that was built sometime in the early 1800's. When I left the room I noticed a beautiful lady on the circular stairs, wearing a light blue full length gown. I began to speak to her, asking what her name was, but all she did was stare at me. I was not afraid until I called to my mother to see this beautiful lady with long hair. When I did that, the ghost turned and ran up the stairs. When she reached the top, she just vanished into thin air. The woman who owns the house said that the ghost of a young woman has lived with them as long as they can remember. From what they were able to find out, the ghost is that of a young woman that was killed by her husband and buried in the basement. If you go down! into the basement there are the family's grave markers still there.
