Calming Spirit   Author: 17  Category:(Dreams) Created:(8/28/1999 10:49:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (1626 times) My favorite Aunt (my father's sister) and favorite Uncle (my mother's brother) had announced they were to be married in a few months. The family was very happy and looking forward to the wedding. One night my cousin called to say he found his mom (my aunt) on the floor and had rushed her to the hospital. All the adults left to see her immediatly. The children were not allowed to go see her. Anerisms had burst in her brain and she need surgery the next day. She never woke up from the operation, they did not have living wills then, patients stayed on life support for at least three days. When the children were able to see her she was already brain dead and looked terrible. I knew that all the wonderful memories of my aunt had been replaced by this horrible one. She was taken of of life support and died as I said good-bye. The whole family was involved in the funeral so no one really slept. The night of the funeral was the first sleep for any of us, and I couldn't close my eyes cause all I saw was that ghastly figue in the hospital bed. I was terrified. Still wide awake, a a light started to shine at my door. As it grew brighter I could see my aunt, she was wearing her wedding dress she had been buried in. She was all light, solid looking but spirit like. With out opening her mouth she said 'I am happy and at peace and the pain is gone. ' I could not rest till you knew this, go to sleep and remember' she was gone, but in a flash all my wonderful memeries where back and the thoughts of her in the hospital where gone. I have never seen her again and I can not remember her in that hospital bed at all.
