One night at about 2:00 a.m. I was awakened by a strange sound coming from the living room. I got up from my bed and checked if maybe it was my brother snoring or something, but he was sound asleep making absolutely no noise. I then went to check if my sister ( who sleeps in the room next to my brother and I ) was making the strange noise, but she too was sleeping like a log and was silent as the night. After having checked on both of my ciblings the noise from the living room became clear to me, it was the sound of of a man deeply lamenting himself and kind of like crying; I knew that I was clearly hearing someone or something whimpering in my living room. So I decided to go and see what exactly was going on in the living room and I as opened my door and stepped out the whimpering and crying became louder and clearer; now I could hear and feel the sound coming closer and closer to me, I walked toward the sound and saw nothing but instead I felt a rather frightning feeling a! nd the crying was almost like projected at me. I knew that I wasn't going to acomplish anything by standing there and also something inside of me told me to turn back and to go into my room. I listened to the voice inside me and started walking towards my room and as I walked I felt the sound and eerie feeling following me as if it was almost a presence there. I finally got into my bed and I tried to go to sleep although the presence and the crying stayed right outside of my bedroom door ringing in my head untill I finally fell asleep. About two weeks later the almost exact thing happened to my sister and as she described it to my family I asked her what it was that she heard and she said that it was like a man whimpering and crying. The scary thing is that I did not tell a soul about what had happened to me and this definitely proves to me that I something very strange happened in my house; ofcourse this is one of the many haunting events that have occured in my house within ! the six years that we have been living there. How it changed my life:It hasn't really changed my life but it sure adds to yet another reason why I believe in ghosts and other types of paranormal ocurrences.
