My sister her husband and two children (at the time) moved into their first new home. Her daughter (3 or 4 yrs old at the time) would wake up in the middle of the night screaming 'no...daddy's house, not your house.' My sister would ask her who she was talking to and she would say it was the 'scary lady.' This would happen periodically and not always in just her room. My sister and her husband started to experience strange occurances as well. After their 3rd child was born, he slept in a crib in the master bedroom with them. They would wake up in the middle of the night and their lights would be on in the bedroom as if to observe the newcomer. Her husband periodically used to have to get up in the middle of the night and go out to the garage because the radio would have turned on full blast for no reason. A few times on his way to the garage he would pass a spot in the living room that would chill him to the bone. After a few years, they decided to move to a new hom! e and rent this one out. I decided to rent it with a few friends. My sister was dating one of them at the time. Her boyfriend had the master bedroom and I had the bedroom drectly across from them. The bedrooms were situated at the top of a hallway. At the end of the hallway was a bathroom and next to it another bedroom. We all went to bed at the same time this particular night and said our 'goodnights' and both shut our doors. It was very silent for a few moments when all of a sudden I heard, very clearly, footsteps coming up the hallway from the bathroom. They stopped right in front of our doorways. I called out my sisters name and I heard her do the same to me. At that very moment, we both jumped out of our beds and opened our doors. We were puzzled because we both suspected to see the other person in the hallway, not in our bedrooms behind our doors. Later that morning we awoke to the garden hose turned on full blast pointed directly at the master bedrooms windo! w as if someone was holding it. Time passed and the original owners (my other sister/husband/children) moved back in to the house. There were periods when it would be quiet but I guess things started acting up again. My brother in law became so disturbe with it that he asked a 'sensitive' what it could be. She told him that there was something in that house that was still tying the 'ghost' to it. He did find that the 'original' owners both had died in the house and that my nieces description of the 'lady' fit to a T. (Of course.) Anyhow, he cleaned the attic out of any remnants that could have been left behind by the original owners and hoped for the best. Things kept happening. One day as he was walking up his walkway, he noticed my sister had removed a hanging plant that had died. Behind this plant, for years, had been the name of the original owners, in a wrought iron cursiff design. He immediately took it down, broke it into as many pieces as possible and threw i! t away. Nothing ever happened again. They have since sold the house for different reasons. How it changed my life:Well, others stories still scare me, but when it's happended to you, it's more puzzling than actually scary. I always thought that I would faint or run screaming from a house if I ever experienced something like this. I was actually able to go to sleep that night and forget about it. I amazed myself!
