I visit a nail salon once every two or three weeks, sometimes on a week night, other times on a Saturday or Sunday, morning or afternoon.About 6 weeks ago, I noticed a young woman sitting at a station next to me, we exchanged a few words during my stay, and then I left.
On the second occasion I visited the same salon (it was a different day and a different time than the last visit), the same woman was there. First reaction of both of us was "fancy meeting you here again!"
On the third occasion, she was there again. This seemed strange to me and she made the comment, I wasn't planning on being here today, but I broke a nail and wanted to get it fixed...this seems like a real coincidence."
I was so taken aback by this third coincidence that, when my sister was visiting from Sedona, Arizona, and because she believes is psychic happenings, I mentioned it to her.
On the fourth (consecutive) occasion I went to the salon, I was just about ready to leave (didn't even THINK about a fourth encounter) when she walked in again. I mentioned that I had talked to my sister and she thought there was something going on other than mere coincidence but didn't elaborate but that I planned to call her as soon as I got home. She said she would be interested to know what she has to say about this and we exchanged names.
I had planned on running other errands before returning home but was so shaken by this fourth incidence that I forgot completely about my chores, got in the car, drove home and immediately went to my computer to e-mail my sister. As I finished my e-mail and pressed the send button, the computer disconnected and the phone rang...it was my sister! (She hadn't even had time to receive the message.)
I'm due to go back again but am not sure whether I will be going Thursday or Friday evening as we will be away this weekend...I really don't expect this to happen a fifth time!
Another, different, coincidence just happened this past weekend, I was expecting a call sometime on Saturday, Sunday or Monday (holiday weekend) from a friend who was in from out of town and said she planned to stop by at some point during her stay to visit. Having to go out in the yard on Sunday, I thought, "maybe I should take the portable phone with me in case she calls". The instant I picked up the portable phone, it rang...and it was her!
