Ghosts, spirits, and strange things happen when you live by a cemetary   Author: 171  Category:(Ghosts) Created:(9/11/1999 2:22:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (5742 times) A little over two years ago, strange things started to happen down the street from my parents house. As a child I grew up on a dead end street. Not only was there no outlet, but at the very end of the street was a cemetary. Some of the headstones were dated as far back as 1819. But that wasn't the creepy part. The weird occurences started in 1997. The first was a ghost, or spirit being seen by the church about a 1/2mile from the cemetary. Early one morning, my sister and I stood at the bus stop wainting for the church bus to pick us up. It was about 6:00am and the sun hasn't completely risen yet. There was a slight fog that settle over us and we were staring down the street trying to look for the bus. That's when we saw it. A bright white apparition, it appeared to be a lady, dressed in white robes. She seemed to be hovering about 5 feet of the ground. We just stared down the street, not believeing what we were seeing, but not coming up with any other explanation. The apparition hovered over the street for about five minutes then it vanished. But thats not all, almost a year to the date after that, my now husband, then boyfriend, and I were delivering papers during the early morning hours, when we delivered the paper to the cemetary at the end of my parents street we noticed a red glow over one of the graves. I was terrified, after remembering the apparition that my sister and I witnesses. But my stubborn husband was curious. so he pulled closer to the grave to see what the glow was. The glow was a single flame burning over the headstone of the grave. I pleaded with him to leave the cemetary. But he wanted to see if it was man-made or set by one the kids in the area. When we went closer to examine the flame it shot up higher, about 4 or 5 feet in the air and then it vanished. We ran to the car and refused to deliver the paper to the cemetary. How it changed my life: I'm not really sure in changed my life in any dramatic way. But it sure did change my views on ghost and unexplained phenonom(spelling). I never believed in ghost until after this happened to me.
