Just wanted to give a hand up for Moms on this Mom's Day.
We would not be here without Moms. Yes, it take Dads for us to be here as well, but still... LOL! Dads get their day a little down the road here. :-)
I have always been very grateful to my mom, despite all the struggles she and I had in our relationship and all the mistakes she made (that I noticed or *didn't* notice), that she did the best she could as a single never-married Mom to keep food on the table for my brother and I, and all the "amenities" in our apartment, even if it meant going to the food bank (which, often, it did), and being on welfare. She has apologized to me in the past, and said that she did the best she could with what she had at the time, and I told her I'd always known that (at least after I got a bit older).
So here's to all Moms, who are rich and poor, all of whom I'm sure would die (or kill) for their children and their safety.
WOOHOO! LOL! *applause*
