I was visiting a ghost town,
I swore noone was around,
til I saw a man dressed up as a cowboy,
and he said son let me give you a history,
of this old town

High noon was when people did their fighting,
but at night they drink at the saloons,
woman were proper, and most stayed at home,
most young boys and girls did most of the chores,
and they helped out on the land,
you worked from sun up to sun down,
most walked over 5 miles to school,

Cowboys herded the cows, and did the cattle calls,
sheriffs ran their towns with iron fists,
poker was a gentlemens game,
and dancing girls put on shows,
you had miners digging for gold,
life was never put on hold,

Eagles, Campfires, guitars, wolves, full moons,
now they were important too,
even horses had names,
you had your Annie Oakies, your Calamity Janes,
the lone ranger, tonto, and outlaws robbing trains,
and the indians and calvery had their battles over land,
they were all important to the era,

But let me tell you son,
it was a different world way back then,
and it came to and end,
as the sun set over the west,
and these towns are just ghost towns,
and he said son look around one more time,

When I tunrnt back around,
the old cowboy was gone,
in that old saloon,
at highnoon,

Date: 12/1/2008 4:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 36901    I want to be honest with you as I know that's what you expect. I think it's good, but it's not near as good as some of your other recent songs. I do think it has potential though. Maybe you could add a verse or two. Don't get me wrong, though. I do like it. I just think you could do a little more with it.
