You might be able to creatively write it off as "home improvements" when you sell your house to offset some capital gains taxes. As for insurance?? This sounds more like regular maintenance. Hard to say, what is your deductable? $500 - $1,000? Rodding the sewer lines couldn't have been much more than that I'd think. It's worth a call to your agent anyway. ![]() |

Insurance varies from state to state. I know that in Arizona anything below the foundation is not covered. I am licensed for insurance here in AZ. I don't know about the tax write off though. ![]() |
