Good story, but what does it mean? Was the attic an off limit place for you. I think I had an OBE when I was around that age. I forgot about it until one day I was reading a book dealing with OBE's and it all came back to me. I do know that it happened, but unlike you, I did not go to the attic. |

Thank you for you interest and reply to my OBE. My OBE made me realize that they exist. As for your quest to achieve a voluntary OBE, I assume you have already tried Yoga. I haven't, however, I have heard people say that it is possible. I feel no need to leave my body again! Don't get me wrong, I was not scared or frightened while I was out, but was startled and terrified when I awoke. The experience gave me a sense of comfort that I still have today. Do you feel it too? It suggested to me that this was not the only life and has since deepened my faith. Good luck on you journey and tell me of your results! booglyboo  |

I believe you were having an OBE. I've done it and I didn't like it, it feels so scary. One time though it wasn't scary, I was homesick (I lived in Olympia and my parents were in So. Calif.) and suddenly I was in my parents home, the lights were out so I knew they were all asleep, it felt so good to be there, I was walking around in the dark just taking everything in, because I missed home so much, next thing I knew I awoke in my bed. But I feel for certain that I was there. |

Once my Mom thought I had come home late one night: She heard me use the bathroom & my footsteps and doors being opened and closed. This particular occaision I was spending an uncomfortable night sleeping in the back of my car along side a mountain road in Northern California. TC  |

Well no. To make a rather boring story short...we took the nervous couple (who's car had broken down) and dropped them off at an old haunted looking resort back in the woods &....I wish I had a story about the haunted looking resort, but I don't...anyway we drove off and ended up sleeping very uncomfortably in the car...cold, cramped, you know the picture. This was during the time frame that my Mom sensed my astral presense at home. Next day we spent time back in the HILLS back of Garberville where we visited a Hippie commune. They were generous with the weed & brought out my Anthropological interests. Later we had dinner at another commune...this one a Christian one. That evening was halloween ( seriously) and we hooked up with some interesting characters & yes we had some vino and more stuff...& ...well, MMC...there you have the whole story. TC

*Pulling out crystal ball* Okay, here goes, you have sandy blonde/brown hair. You're about 5'11" to 6'0". Not fat, not thin, you used to workout a lot but don't anymore. You're feeling a little paunchy even though people think you look fine. Work...hmmm...you work at something that doesn't let you think enough. It's not challenging, but that's not surprising because you grow bored easily. You were probably a mystic in one of your former lives, killed by the inquisition. Good morning MMC. Let's see how well your crystal ball did. Well I've got shoulder length light brown hair & blue eyes. I'm five-ten & weigh in at 190 lbs. Uh...yeah I gotta little paunch, but hey it doesn't look bad when I suck it in. You're right...it really doesn't show much then. You get a 100% on the fact that YES I did indeed use to work out with weights. Looked pretty good as long as I kept at it. My most recent job was a very menial one...where if anything I had TOO much time to think. But yes it was boring. I mean hear I am a certified library technician cleaning up parking lots. I've been interested in mysticism & the paranormal since I was a kid. Yes I think I must have been a mystic or heretic in another lifetime...or possibly an Indian guru...since Eastern metaphysics always rings my chimes. One psychic I consulted thinks that I am paying back some difficult karma due to my having abused some position of power. Hmmm maybe I was a Grand Inquisitor & had heretics tortured & burned at the stake rather than the other way around. As far as anger...I'm hot tempered only when other people get mad at me first...but I am a forgiving & an understanding person. Nope...I'm a Leo...Leo the Cowardly Lion sometimes, whos roar is usually much worse than his bite. Ya know MMC...on the whole you did above average don't you think? Keep you're crystal ball well dusted & I think your psychic abilities will improve even further. TC |

I have a cousin who is one. His name is Dick Anderson. Ever hear of him? What's your opinion of Robbins? I know he's extremely tall & makes people fire walk...that's all I know. I felt fear during the time that I was "lost in the attic", but as soon as I fell back into my body lying in bed, & felt the kiss on my forhead I felt very peaceful. |

Just last night I had a vivid OBE dream. I was floating around inside a strange house, and kind of bumping into walls. I was aware in my dream that I was dreaming, & I was aware that it was about having an OBE. Sometimes If I meditate or chant AUM and visualize myself having an OBE experience before I fall asleep, I have these type of dreams. The next step would be to have a fully conscious OBE. Now that would be a real break-through. |

Relaxation, (lying down of course) meditation, & visualization. Once, I had a particularlly vivid OBE dream, after visualizing myself floating up into a blue sky. All of a sudden a white door appeared, with a golden doorknob. I turned the doorknob and stepped across the threshhold. An angel then appeared & put a crown on my head...from that point on I can't remember details, but I was aware that I was in an OBE dream. |

Yes, I have heard that it's possible to at least be harrassed by negative entities. To ward them off, you can visualize yourself being surrounded by the pure white light of God's love...and of course, saying a prayer can't possibly hurt. |

Along with the good OBE dreams, I've also had some scarey ones. Typically I'll be floating around inside a haunted house...I'll float past mirrors & see myself (?) looking extremely demonic: bloated, deformed, & glowing with ghastly colors. At the same time the atmosphere is very dark & morbidly oppressive. But These aren't typical OBE dreams. It just shows that now and again one can (for whatever reason) find oneself traveling into the lower, darker, astral planes. |
