STOLEN SOUL

The dark, hideous creature stepped slowly out of the pitch darkness. The monster, in some place known as the Grim Reaper, was clad form head to toe in a black trench coat that resembled a robe. He carried in his left hand the weapon of death and destruction. The Reaper crept to and from shadows made by the barn and out house. When he reached the back lawn, he was illuminated by the full moon hovering over the house. From where he stood, he could see many houses in the neighborhood. Why he picked Nick Cromdag's house, no one knows. The dark figure headed across the yard and walked through the parlor wall. Once inside, he crept up the flight of stairs and went into Nick's master bedroom. He levitated over the bed and began humming. This sudden sound awakened Nick and he was devistated at the figure befor him. Petrified by horror, he didn't make a sound. The Reaper began to speak in a low gruff voice,"You only have on day to live!Do what you have always dreamed of!Do it quickly! Nick dully droned,"What?", but the spirit only replied with,"You have been warned!" This last message echoed and suddenly Nick abruptly awakened in a cold sweat. Telling himself,"It was only a dream!",he rose from bed and drank coffee until dawn.

The next morning, Nick felt drowsy and naucious. He sat on the couch and soon fell asleep. He had an abnormal dream of death and darkness, everyone he knew was slain by the clang of the Grim Reaper's sickle. He once again awoke in a cold sweat and was screaming from the depths of his soul.

It was nine o'clock before Nick began to realize he wasn't feeling well. He had been unconcious most of the day. He was getting violently ill! Yet, with all of the pain, the only thing Nick could think of was the brusque voice of the dark figure echoing, "You have been warned"!

Suddenly, Nick came back to reality and quietly threw up in the trash can. He got in his vehicle bound for the county hospital. Disoriented and having his vision blurred he swerved into oncoming traffic and veering back into his lane. He took a corner violently and slid with excessive speeds of one-hundred miles per hour. He came out of the slide on two wheels and suddenly went limp. The old Ford crashed head on into the guard rail overlooking Spotman's Cliff. Nick's dead body flew head first through the windshield decapitating him and severing his Jugualar Vein. His corpse hurled over the edge and floated down the two-hundred foot drop, landing with a dull thud.

A cloaked figure stepped out of the shadows of the bluff. He crept slowly over to the seperate head and set it long wise on the body. Gathering Nick's corpse in his arms, he fell to his knees, gave a slight smile and dissappeared back into the depths of Hell.

Nick Cromdag's soul had been stolen.

How it changed my life:

To be perfectly honest with you, I made this story up!! Just for your enjoyment. I know it is just supposed to be real stories, but I don't have any.
