On the morning of 10 November 1987 at 6am in England I received a telephone call from my sister in Johannesburg, South Africa, to say my mother had just died (there is a weirder story attached tot his, but another time). We kept trying Edmonton, Alberta, at the home of my brother, to find out if his wife had been able to contact him to tell him about the death, but he was working out of state and on the road. It was about six hours later that I got a call to say that my brother had been involved in a serious car accident and that he had gone into a coma, not knowing of my mother's death. He remained in the coma for three days and died, without knowing, as my sister and I were about to go to my mother's funeral in Johannesburg. How it changed my life:There must be more to life than what we see. This was too much of a coincidence. As it happens my belief in God was strengthened because I wondered what it is that ties us together.
