I work at a grocery store with a father and son that live in a haunted house. It is a really big house that used to belong to a doctor. I am unsure of how the doctor died but it was like 75 years ago. The ghost is not hostile. They don't really seem to be frightened of it. There is a room in the house that the doctor had his medicines and stuff in. It is now the room that they have a pool table in. I have heard if you stand in a certain place in that room, you can smell ether. Also, there was a trap door in the floor that led to the basement. It is still there but it has been carpeted over because the basement is unused. The basement ceiling is about twelve feet high and there are no steps leading up to the door. My friend says that sometimes the trap door tries to open and you can see it pushing the carpet up but it can't open all the way. Also his dad was in the bathroom and tried to exit the bathroom and the door would not open. He was alone in the house and the all the doors were locked. He pushed and pushed, the door opened about two or three inches but wouldn't open any more. He started yelling because he thought his son or someone was playing a trick on him. He finally got the door open and all that was blocking his way was a cooler. The cooler was empty and it didn't have anything on the bottom that would of prevented it from sliding. The ghost apparantly doesn't make it's presence known very often. How it changed my life:It has not really changed my life all that much. Usually I make fun of my friend asking if he ever goes into trances saying "redrum" or if the walls ever bleed while a voice says "Get out!"
