I lived next door to my best friend at the time, and I left my live-in boyfriend of 5 years. I moved in with her and her children, all 6 of us happy to go on with our lives. She sat me down the first night and told me she had a story to tell and to listen with an open mind. I figured it was going to be something like she had a guy friend after the kids were off to bed or such. So, I sat down to listen. She proceeded to tell me that she had some "weird" things happen in the house and she didn't want me to be startled if they happened while I was home alone. Then she told me about our "watcher". On occasion, water faucets would turn themselves on and off, lights would turn on and off, channels would change on the TV, and very rarely, one could feel a push or nudge once in a while. Laughing, I said, "OK, sure. Now I want some of what you're drinking." She just smiled and said, "You'll see." Well, as time went on, I did see some strange things. One night in particular that sticks in my mind to this day is the night of the blinds. We had mini-blinds in all the windows and one night I was walking across the yard and looked up to see the mini-blinds in my bedroom window being laid down on the window sill. Angry that someone had invaded my room, I went in the door yelling for the kids. They all scattered out of their bedrooms. When I saw that none of them emerged from my bedroom, I went over to the door, thinking I was going to scare someone. My door was locked as usual. Getting my key, I unlocked the door, to find the blinds were up and no lights on. I swear to all of you, there was a figure in my window and it was backlit. To this day, the kids still swear they didn't do it. I like to think of it as someone watching over us...and helping us remember that entities do roam the land. How it changed my life:This experience opened my mind to believe in the supernatural.
