Late night sounds   Author: 17  Category:(Sounds) Created:(8/28/1999 10:49:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (1680 times) In 1978, at the age of 12, I experienced what I believe to be a supernatural experience. Late one Spring evening I was awakened by my younger brother. He stated that he heard something walking up and down the stairs repeatedly. I dismissed the incident as the product of his over active imagination, or possibly our cat. About an hour later, I was awoken once again by my brother. This time, however, my brother's concerns were validated as I could hear the what sounded like foot steps coming from the stairwell. I cautiously approached the top of the stairwell and peered down the stairs of our 50 year old house. Street lights helped to illuminate the stairs as I gazed intently. Once again, the sound of foot steps were clearly audible. This time, however, it was clear they were the steps of a man ascending the stairs directly in front of me. I gazed in utter disbelief as the footsteps approached me. There was neither a cat or human being on the stairwell. I panicked,! and immediately ran to my room where I assumed a prone position next to my brother and stared intently at the hallway adjacent to te stairwell. The foot steps hit the top of the stairs and rounded the corner and proceeded down the hallway toward our room. Unable to move due to the abject terror of the situation, we watched and listened as this invisible entity walked past our room and into our sisters room. Never had another ocurrence of this. Weird, huh? How it changed my life: Just gave me an interesting story to tell.
