I was about six or seven years old. We were living in a mining village called Arcturus in Salisbury, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) Our house was very close to the outskirts of the village and my Step father felt it necessary to move closer in to a house that had been vacant for some time. He was warned by various people that the particular house was haunted but he did not believe in such nonsense. So we moved in. One night as I lay alone and asleep in my room I suddenly woke up and I was terrified. I was pinned to the bed by an invisible blanket and I could not even scream. I sensed an evil being at my bedside. The terror was unbelievable. Then it was gone and I went straight back to sleep. I never spoke to anyone about it until years later when I told my sister and she said that our Step father had also experienced the same thing. Apparently a man had committed suicide in the house. How it changed my life:I became very open minded
