In 1979 my mother, brother and I came to Spokane, Wa to visit my Aunt and Grandmother. We had traveled from Denver, Co. While we were in Spokane my father called and said we were moving to Houston, Tx and he would move all of our belongings and we could meet him when our vacation was done. He got a job for a moving company and started to earn money in Texas. One day my mother called to my fathers place of employment and asked to speak with him, the secretary sayed that my father had quit his job and was going to look for a better paying job. No one has seen or heard from my fahter since. Over the years my mother would be in various places where truckers would hang out and would start small talk with area truckers and would discribe him, the way he looked and his habits and they would say that they had met or knew a man that fit that discription but went by a different name. My mother never shared this info with my brother and I probably because we were so young an! d she didnt want to upset us and get our hopes up. She always reminded us that our father loved us and sometime we will find him. In march of 1988 my mother passed away from breast cancer. That left us parentless and alone I was 14 and my brother was 12. I moved in with a wonderful family and my brother lived with a friend as well. We both have a very empty part of our lives and dispite all the hurt and sorrow we have turned out pretty good. The fact still remains we want to find the man who was more than our father he was our daddy. We remember our dad as a good, happy father. We never had problems at home and my father and mother were in love I have love letters it makes no snese. How does anyone just disappear no friends family or anyone knows their where abouts. HOW??? Not only the missing love but the family history, and health. Its very painfull and unless you've been there (and alot of people have) it hurts.
