We had just driven 300 kms from Broken Hill to Mildura and we thought that we should stop and rest for a while.After getting something to eat a shop we went for a walk down the main drag.All of a sudden country music filled the air and a country hick chick came out and danced in a very alluring and somewhat disturbing manner. We walked on unfazed, bewildered and really turned off. On the way out of town we saw heaps of other Carnies, heaps with funny limbs and smelling like boiled cabbage. Never have we understood the meaning of these mysterious events, but to this day we still have nightmares and cold chills to remind us of this unsettling encounter.
