My grandmother was afraid of the dark , even though she was about 13 yrs old . One night , about a week after her father died , my grandmother went to bed , in the dark . She was very afraid and frighteened . She could not get to sleep . A little while after she had been sitting on her bed thinking about her father , her fathers ghost appeared and sat on her bed and told her not to be afraid of the dark . Ever scince then she was not afraid of the dark . The ghost was like a dark shaddow . it never appeared again . How it changed my life: It makes me feel safe while I am scared .
