ONE LAST TIME... I had a cousin two weeks older than I, our families grew up close and we got along OK. When I was 17 I got engaged, then was jealous when shortly after my announcement she announced she was married, and pregnant. We lived out of state by this time, and we had lost touch. I was back in my hometown right before her baby was born but I didn't contact her. Three months later I awoke from a sound sleep and saw a dark sillhouette go across the moonlit picture window in our bedroom. I gasped, then calmed myself and lay back down. A few minutes later I looked up to see an apparition by my bed. It was a young woman.....holding a baby. I started again and quickly snapped on the lamp. It was gone. The clock read 11:30 p.m. As I was trying to settle my nerves again the phone rang. It was my mother. My cousin, her husband, and her baby had all been killed in a car accident that day. How it changed my life:I firmly believe that there is a shade of gray between life and death, and I know my cousin came not only to say goodbye, but to show me the baby she was so proud of and I had yet to meet....
